District overview Nordhorn
Nordhorn, the charming town in south-western Lower Saxony, is divided into numerous districts and residential areas - from the historic old town to new residential areas such as the Blumensiedlung. In the following, I will briefly introduce you to each district - based on the official ArcGIS map, of course. Source see below.

| Frenswegen | Part of Nordhorn since 1929 - quiet residential area outside the city center. |
| Altendorf | "Old village" - the original settlement before the town was relocated. |
| Bakelde | Incorporated areas - rural with wooded hills. |
| Bookholt | Large part of Nordhorn - name derived from "Buchenwald". |
| Brandlecht | Historic village, first mentioned in 1313, today a green residential area. |
| Bimolten | Former surrounding community, name probably derived from field or wood. |
| Hesepe | Partially taken over, rural character. |
| Hestrup | Incorporated in 1974, quiet village. |
| Hohenkörben | Also incorporated into Nordhorn in 1974. |
| Klausheide | Originally a parish, later a district. |
| Town center | Historic center with town hall and cultural sites. |
| Blanke | Largest district, named after marshy meadows, highly industrialized after 1945. |
| Blumensiedlung | Developed in the 1920s - today a green residential area. |
| Bussmaate | Residential area with a quiet atmosphere. |
| Deegfeld | Settlement area with moderate growth. |
| Feldflur | Characterized by agriculture, fields and meadows. |
| Frensdorferhaar | Near-natural residential area on the outskirts of the city. |
| Neuberlin | New development area with modern infrastructure. |
| Oorde | Residential area with a small-scale character. |
| City corridor | Partly generous planting, historic corridor structure. |
| Strict | Residential area without clear street division. |
| Wehrmaate | Small neighborhood, partly along old field paths. |
| Wasserstadt Povel | New development on former factory site - modern center with culture. |
| NINO business park | Conversion of the former factory complex for residential and commercial use. |
