Real estate marketing is made even more effective by the use of a 3D sunlight simulator: this technology can be used to precisely simulate the course of the sun and shading. This allows prospective buyers to realistically experience the lighting conditions of a property at different times of the day and year, which makes the decision-making process much easier.

The real estate agency VON POLL IMMOBILIEN relies on the 3D sunlight simulator from the Austrian company Shadowmap for its digital marketing. This interactive tool allows prospective buyers to realistically simulate sunlight, shadows and the course of the sun depending on the time of year and time of day. The simulator has been integrated into the customer portal's digital buyer service. After a successful exposé inquiry, a direct link to Shadowmap is available in the online exposé so that prospective buyers can use the function conveniently.

According to VON POLL IMMOBILIEN, the use of the sunlight simulator significantly improves the presentation of properties and makes it easier for prospective buyers to make a decision. So far, the technology has mainly been used by real estate platforms, architectural offices, urban planners and developers.
