This seaside resort is located in a beautiful bay where you will find cliffs alternating with sandy beaches with lovely fine sand.

All three of the beaches in Paguera—the Playa Palmira, the Playa Tora and the Playa La Romana—have beautiful fine sand, are very clean and remain flat as they lead out to sea.

Many new buildings have been erected in Paguera in recent years, but fortunately, there have been no major architectural blunders. Along the beach promenade, which was built 20 years ago, you will find a range of different cafés and restaurants. The main shopping street is the Bulevar von Paguera, situated behind the beach. Traffic-calming measures have been introduced along the Bulevar and it's a great place for an evening stroll as it is open only to pedestrians from 7.00 pm onwards. This coastal town has everything you need, with all kinds of shops and culinary destinations. You’ll find a wide range of water sports on offer too. There are also a number of different boat trips that depart directly from the beach, for example to Santa Ponsa, to Puerto de Andratx, and to the Isla Dragonera, and also to the uninhabited island of Islas Malgrats, which is very popular as a location to stop off for a swim.

Golfers will find a challenging golf course with exclusive restaurant facilities (Golf de Andratx) in the neighboring village of Camp de Mar, just 2 minutes away from Paguera by car heading to the west. There are further golf courses to the east in Santa Ponsa.

Definitely worth a mention is the picturesque bay of Cala Fornells, a district of Paguera, which attracts a lot of regular visitors to Majorca and is an exciting prospect for those on the lookout for a property, with its Mediterranean-style buildings which have been built on a slope with a dream-like view out to sea.

The surrounding landscape is ideal for cycling trips, with routes to suit any preference or level of difficulty. The infrastructure in the area likewise speaks for itself as Paguera has a direct link to the motorway. Palma, the island’s lively capital city, is just 20 minutes away by car so you can always enjoy a relaxing walk through the city centre; it takes approx. 35 minutes to get to the airport by car.

Paguera also has its own weekly market – it is held on the Avenida Paguera every Tuesday morning.

The region in and around Paguera is highly attractive with a pleasant climate and an average temperature of 27 degrees Celsius in summer and 14 degrees Celsius in winter.
