"Home with friends!" is not just the motto, but the philosophy and lifestyle of the Adenauers. The history of the "Blue Corner" in Adenau stretches back many centuries. Although the weathervane on the roof of the "Blue Corner" bears the date "1578," the historic building may have been constructed in the first half of the 17th century as one of the last houses built on Adenau's market square. The builder was the waiter Wilhelm Bewer, officially also the Electorate of Cologne's official steward and treasurer of the Knights Hospitaller commandery. Even during Prussian times, after the French annexation of the Rhineland from 1793 to 1813, the "Blue Corner" was an inn. Unlike the church, the building survived the Second World War unscathed. However, it was looted, and valuable antiques disappeared. After the currency reform, several of these "relics" resurfaced. Among them are several cast-iron stove plates from the 16th and 17th centuries, used as heat storage, which further contribute to the house's unique atmosphere. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Nürburgring, in the heart of the Eifel region and directly adjacent to the Ahr wine-growing area, you'll experience not only motorsports but also romance, nature, family fun, and sporting activities. Enjoy nature on romantic strolls through the vineyards along the Red Wine Trail or on a hike along the Nürburgring. Embark on a safari in one of the nearby wildlife parks or experience motorsport history up close at the adventure park right next to the famous racetrack.
