Bad Zwischenahn is located in the administrative district of Ammerland, between the Weser and Ems rivers, and stretches along a lake known as the “Zwischenahner Meer”. Surrounded by bicycle and hiking routes, the lake offers a variety of sporting and recreational possibilities. The town’s appearance is characterised by the prettily laid-out rhododendron park, the thatched, half-timbered farmhouses, the windmills and the moorlands and meadows that surround the town. Bad Zwischenahn’s sights include the “Alte Kurhaus”, which was built in the 19th century, as well as the historic mill in the spa gardens and the water tower, from which one has a wide view of the entire town. One of the traditional half-timbered buildings houses the casino of Bad Zwischenahn. As well as the attractive natural landscape the town offers a wide range of cultural activities and an intact infrastructure.
