The cortijo was built in 2007. The owner, a Dutch national, and an architect by profession had always been fascinated by the typical architecture of Andalusian cortijos. After making a lot of trips and visits to cortijos in the province of Granada, and being inspired by them, she created this cortijo together with her friend, the great Australian architect Donald Gray, awarded several times.
The distribution corresponds to the cortijos of the time, with the entrance hall, which was where you accessed the noble house and where the horses and carriages of the time passed.
For two years, the owner was meticulously compiling the features for her future home in a large album, so that a wonderful mix of the traditional, and the contemporary modern and practical has been created.

From the large terrace in front of the living room and the small wrought-iron balconies in the upper part of the rooms, you have a wonderful view of the Mediterranean Sea, the African coast, and the mountains.
In the garden there is also a lemon tree, two orange trees, two apple trees with different types of produce and a kumquat tree.

The two nearest golf courses are easily accessible by golf car.
