Building Description
Locations
Very good location in very quiet street in the centre of Sineu close to many cultural attractions and all services.
The village of Sineu is located in the centre of the island of Mallorca. It was already inhabited in prehistoric times with vestiges such as the talayot of Son Creixell, Sa Ritxla, Sa Ritxoleta, Son Rossinyol and Son Vanrell. In the 12th-13th century it inherited cultural singularities, architecture and agriculture. It also has the Palace of the Kings of Mallorca in Sineu, which is a building from the beginning of the 14th century, possibly built over an old Muslim alcáser, ordered to be built by King Jaume II of Mallorca at the beginning of the 14th century, specifically in 1309. King Sanç I of Mallorca resided here on at least one occasion. The parish church of Santa Maria, in front of this building is the monument popularly known as "the Lion"; it is a copper sculpture from 1945, a lion with wings, symbol of the evangelist Saint Mark, holding the coat of arms of Sinéu with one of its front paws.
